Over
the next three decades, more than four million people
visited the Bahá'í House of Worship. It continues
to attract about a quarter of a million visitors
each year. In May 1992, the auditorium and Foundation
Hall were filled to capacity for the commemoration
of the centenary of Bahá’u’lláh’s Ascension. Ongoing
restoration activities combat damage from age and
weather. A plan called the Kingdom Project was recently
launched to fund such tasks as replacing the terrace
and stairs, constructing a new Visitors’ Center,
and enhancing the gardens. This magnificent edifice
is a labor of love for the Bahá'í community, a gift
to all the peoples of the world. All are invited
here to worship one loving God in harmony.
